Electrician / Electrical Technician

Utah County & Salt Lake CountyFull-time$30–$55/hr DOE + bonus

About this role

Our electrical division does service, panel upgrades, EV charger installations (Tesla Wall Connector + ChargePoint + Emporia), generator installs, code corrections, and whole-home rewires for older homes — including the Federal Pacific / Zinsco / FPE panel replacements common in Utah.

EV charger installs are a big and growing part of the work. If you're comfortable running 50-amp branch circuits and pulling permits, you'll stay busy.

What you'll do day to day

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues: dead outlets, breaker trips, dimming lights, grounding problems, code violations.
  • Install and upgrade electrical panels (100A → 200A is the common upgrade; some 400A jobs).
  • Install EV chargers — Level 2, including Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home, and Emporia. Often involves new 50-amp dedicated circuit.
  • Install whole-home generators, surge protection, smoke/CO detectors, dedicated circuits, lighting.
  • Pull permits and pass inspections (Salt Lake County, Utah County, individual cities).
  • Replace Federal Pacific Stab-Lok, Zinsco, FPE, and similar known-bad panels.

Requirements

  • Utah Journeyman Electrician license OR Master Electrician license (active, in good standing).
  • Valid Utah driver's license, clean enough for company-vehicle insurance.
  • Comfortable working on energized 200A services with proper PPE and lockout/tagout.
  • Familiar with NEC current code cycle and Utah amendments.
  • Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to have (but not required)

  • Tesla / EVSE installer certification.
  • Generator install experience (Generac, Kohler, Briggs).
  • Solar / battery interconnection experience.
  • Commercial 3-phase experience.
